  • The 2008 IBC application is required for all new submissions. Older versions of University of Pittsburgh IBC applications will not be accepted after May 1, 2008.

What is Recombinant DNA?

  1. Molecules constructed outside of living cells by joining natural or synthetic DNA segments to DNA molecules that can replicate in a living cell.
  2. Molecules that result from the replication of those described above.
